Flammiferum scutum is a sprayable, expanding, self-sealing protective skin applied over the entire exterior of a home. It flows into every gap, seals every joint, and cures into a continuous fireproof layer that extends from roofline to root zone.
It does not burn, melt, or release toxic smoke. It is designed to survive prolonged wildfire siege and protect the structure inside.
Wildfires destroy homes through direct flame, radiant heat, and ember attack. Traditional cladding either burns or allows heat to penetrate over time. Flammiferum scutum solves this by making the entire exterior a continuous thermal barrier.
Flammiferum scutum did not begin as a full envelope. It started as a fireproof panel and evolved through multiple tests. It learned that fireproofing is not enough—heat must be blocked over time, from above and below.
The species gained porous air pockets, phase-change cooling, a ground skirt, and thicker thermal mass. Now it is a complete living shield.
Simulation testing has been completed. Flammiferum scutum passed 48-hour wildfire siege conditions, protecting all five homes with substrate temperatures far below ignition.
